Join PVSB for Our Annual Spring Concert

Join the Palos Verdes Symphonic Band for its annual formal spring concert, Old, New, Borrowed, Blue: A Tapestry of American Music, to be presented on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 7:30 PM at the Norris Theatre, 27570 Norris Center Drive, Rolling Hills Estates 90274.  The band will perform works by Charles Ives, award-winning composer W. Francis McBeth, movie and television orchestrator and arranger Julie Giroux, Augsburg College professor Erika Svanoe, and others.  Pianist Haesung Park will be featured in a concert band arrangement of George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue.

 

Tickets: Adults: $27; 18 and under: $17.  This price includes the required $7 Norris Centre Facility Fee.  Tickets are available at the Norris Box Office window, from their website (www.palosverdesperformingarts.com), or by phone (310-544-0403 X221).

PVSB Holiday Concert This Sunday!

Join the Palos Verdes Symphonic Band for its annual popular December concert.  Joyful Sounds of the Holidays will be presented on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at 3 PM at the Peninsula Community Church, 5640 Crestridge Rd., Rancho Palos Verdes 90275 (310-377-4661).  Multi-talented musician George Makinto, owner of the creative music school Joyful Music and Arts in Rolling Hills Estates, will put an African spin on several holiday favorites.  The band will play a special selection in memory of Larry Weeks, longtime member and past president of the band.  In addition, the audience will have the opportunity to join the band in a Hallelujah Chorus sing-a-long.

 

Tickets are $10; under 12 is free.  Tickets may be purchased at the door, from a band member, or by credit card at www.pvsband.org.
