The membership of the Palos Verdes Symphonic Band draws from musicians of all ages and professions across the South Bay community. We cordially invite interested woodwind, brass, percussion, and lower string players to consider joining our ensemble!
We generally rehearse on Wednesdays from 7:30-9:30 pm at:

We are currently on break for the holidays and will return to regular rehearsals on Wednesday, January 10, 2024.

Who can join the band?
Our membership consist of musicians of all ages and professions - teachers, engineers, physicians, homemakers, students, and more! We are especially seeking new clarinet, double reed, brass, percussion, and lower string players.
Do I have to audition to join?
Although there are no required auditions, instrumental proficiency, the ability to read music, and prior ensemble experience (e.g. past participation in a high school or college ensemble) are assumed.
What are the time commitments?
A typical concert set consists of 4-5 rehearsals (each 2 hours per week) and concludes with a 1-2 hour performance usually occurring during the weekend.
