The band presents: Mariachi Tesoro
The Palos Verdes Symphonic Band will present its annual Labor Day concert, Mariachi on the Meadow, on Monday, September 5 at 5:00 PM outdoors on the meadow at the South Coast Botanic Garden, 26300 Crenshaw Blvd. in the Palos Verdes Peninsula.
Mariachi Tesoro (www.mariachitesoro.com) is a multicultural mixed gender group of professional musicians who perform a variety of music from traditional mariachi to pop, Tex-Mex, and Latin jazz. They will play a variety of familiar selections with the band, who will also perform additional popular genre-related selections to complete the program.
The 60 piece Palos Verdes Symphonic Band, under the direction of David Stanton, consists of local musicians dedicated since 1962 to bringing you the very best in concert band music.
Concert tickets are only $10 for adults, free for children 12 years and under, and are available in the Botanic Garden courtyard just prior to concert time. Bring a blanket or beach chair and a picnic supper and non-alcoholic drinks if you wish. Outside alcohol is not allowed. Beer and wine will be available for sale, and the Richeeze Grilled Cheese and Recess Ice Cream food trucks will be on site for purchase. For more information, you may call the band at 310-792-8286.
